Latest Update June 2010: Commenced installation of Process Equipment Modules at the Devil Creek Gas Plant following sea and road transportation from Thailand. May 2010: Completed the fabrication and assembly of the Devil Creek Gas Plant Process Equipment Modules in Thailand. April 2010: Rock dumping works carried out at the Reindeer – Pluto pipeline crossing location. March 2010: Installed trestles at the Reindeer - Pluto pipeline crossing location. Commenced installation of piperack modules at the Devil Creek Gas Plant. February 2010: Commenced civil works at the Gas Plant. Completed Gas Plant piperack modules in Thailand and transported then to Dampier, WA in readiness for installation. January 2010: Contract awarded to TS Marine for the installation of trestles associated with the Reindeer - Pluto pipeline crossing. Commenced installation of the onshore raw gas pipeline and horizontally directional drilled (HDD) shore crossing. December 2009: Contract awarded to Jan de Nul / Van Oord JV for the rock dumping works associated with the Reindeer - Pluto pipeline crossing. Cutting of first steel occurred at the Reindeer Wellhead Platform fabrication yard in Shenzhen, China. October 2009: Contract awarded to SapuraAcergy for the offshore installation works comprising the transportation of the Reindeer Wellhead Platform from the fabrication yard in Shenzhen, China and offshore line pipe from the coating facility in Batam, Indonesia to the field followed by the installation of the Wellhead Platform and 16” offshore raw gas pipeline (refer to separate Acergy announcement for further details). September 2009: Groundbreaking ceremony for the Devil Creek Gas Plant officiated by Hon Peter Collier MLC Minister for Energy and commencement of construction. August 2009: Contracts were awarded to John Holland for the site construction works associated with the Devil Creek Gas Plant and onshore pipeline (refer to separate media statement for further details) and to Chiwan Sembawang Engineering in Shenzhen, China for the fabrication of the Reindeer Wellhead Platform. July 2009: Contract awarded to DrillTec for the Horizontally Directional Drilled (HDD) shore crossing that will be located at Gnoorea Point. June 2009: Devil Creek Gas Plant module assembly commenced at Clough’s fabrication yard in Sattahip, Thailand. May 2009: Clough commenced the prefabrication of the piperack and equipment modules for the Devil Creek Gas Plant in Thailand. March 2009: Contract awarded to Clough for the engineering, procurement and fabrication associated with the Devil Creek Gas Plant and onshore pipeline (refer to separate Media Statement for further details). January 2009: Gas Sale Agreement signed to supply gas from the Reindeer field to Citic Pacific Mining’s Sino Iron Project enabling the project to recommence. December 2008: Project deferred due to adverse changes in the global economic outlook however work is to continue on regulatory approvals to ensure a timely restart once gas sales agreements that support the development have been agreed. 5 December 2007: All work has now been completed and the rig has returned to Port. No access limitations were required during the works. Apache wishes to thank boat access ramp users for their cooperation. From mid November to early December 2007, Apache Energy undertook nearshore geotechnical drilling work off Forty Mile Beach. |
